Meet The Team!

DeAnna received her BS degree from Middle Tennessee State University in International Relations and her Master’s degree in accountancy from UNC Charlotte. She obtained her CPA certificate in 2015. Her love of accounting was found in solving clients’ bookkeeping puzzles and helping them understand how to read their financial statements.   

In December 2015 she started DeAnna Ford, CPA with a mission to provide reasonably priced, easy to understand bookkeeping knowledge to the area. Her practice eventually grew to include income tax returns and other accounting services including fractional CFO services. In 2017 the firm was named “New Business of the Year” by the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce. They quickly outgrew their location on Lane Street and in 2020 they bought and remodeled the historic Holbrook’s TV & Radio building on S. Ridge Ave.   

From 2020 – 2024 they worked to regain their passion and focus on what they were good at – bookkeeping services. In 2024, they became: The Bookkeeping Team, Inc. 

DeAnna is on the board of The Academic Learning Center, the Kannapolis Education Foundation, Grace Covenant Christian Academy and is a proud member and Treasurer of Grace Covenant Church in Kannapolis, NC.

She is married to the funniest man she knows – Jeremy Ford. They have one amazing daughter, Savanna Ford and one rambunctious rescue pup, Scout Rowdy Ford.

She loves serving the community. She loves living in Kannapolis. And she is grateful for the gift and calling of God to allow her to do what she loves with the remarkable group at The Bookkeeping Team, Inc.  

In her downtime, which she has much more of since removing income tax services from her business, DeAnna enjoys spending time with her family. They enjoy long RV trips – Big Bend NP in TX is her reining favorite location. 

She enjoys playing make belief with Savanna – although she doesn’t think she is very good at it.

She enjoys spending time with her very clever husband – he keeps her on her toes – every day. A few years ago, the family started training Brazilian jiujitsu. DeAnna is slightly obsessed, but she has to keep up with Savanna who is not to be underestimated on and off the mats.

 With over three years at the heart of our team, Brianna is often the first face you see, or the one you hear making you feel welcome the moment you enter or call in. As our go to person for answering phones and greeting visitors, she sets the tone for every interaction. Beyond a warm greeting, she manages the essential behind‑the‑scenes work that keeps our office humming: scheduling appointments, assisting with client portals, handling data entry, and smoothly coordinating all of the company's day‑to‑day operations. Brianna brings her friendly demeanor and boundless creativity to every aspect of her work. Fun fact: Brianna loves to write her own songs, plays guitar and piano, and has even released her own album. When she’s not spending time with family and friends,  you’ll find her leading worship and supporting youth at her church as both a worship team member and the main Youth leader. 

August 2019, she joined the team as a Senior Accountant. Originally from New York, she relocated to Kannapolis, NC, seeking a less crowded, slower-paced environment and fell in love with the community.  A native of New York, she earned her degree in accounting from Dowling College in Oakdale, Long Island.  Her accounting journey began with high school classes and evolved into a lifelong vocation. She is particularly motivated by moments when clients call her a “life saver,” which reinforces her commitment to excellence and client-centered service.  She is a devoted parent who spends her free time hanging out with her children. A passionate animal lover, she jokes that if she weren’t crunching numbers, she’d likely be working with animals. Fun Fact: She loves Halloween! It isn't just her favorite holiday, but was the central theme of her wedding.

Jessica Coe is one of our Account Managers where she brings over 8 years of bookkeeping experience, including the last four with the company. Before transitioning into finance, Jessica began her career in healthcare—first as a pharmacy technician while attending nursing school, then as an LPN at GYN Care of the Carolinas, and later as a Clinical Manager at Dermatology Group of the Carolinas for over four years. She is known for her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and her dedication to building lasting client relationships. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Allen, her high school sweetheart as they raise their two daughters, Sophia and Savannah. She's very close with her extended family, loves summer beach vacations, and is an avid reader. Fun fact: Jessica can play the piano, having taken lessons for seven years during her childhood.

Jody is one of our Account Managers   with over 24 years in accounting, she provides seasoned expertise and steady care to every client and colleague she supports.  A proud alumna of UNCW, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting, Jody brings deep knowledge and a thorough understanding of accounting fundamentals, a foundation that clients rely on day in and day out. She has been with the team for a year and has quickly become the trusted guide helping clients navigate their bookkeeping with precision and warmth.  She is passionate about helping clients stay organized, accurate, and confident in their financial reporting. Outside of work, Jody has been married for 29 years and is a proud mom of two sons, ages 23 and 19.

 A few fun facts: she’s a twin and an accomplished endurance athlete, having completed four half-marathons and several sprint triathlons.

Patty joined The Bookkeeping Team (formerly DeAnna Ford CPA) in February 2021, bringing over 17 years of experience from public accounting into her current role. Before that, she shaped her financial expertise at various CPA firms for nearly two decades, then transitioned into private industry.

During her time in Maryland and Delaware, she held pivotal leadership roles, serving as Accounting Manager and CFO for companies across a diverse range of sectors: construction, plumbing, electrical & HVAC contracting; printing; property management; retail; animal hospitals; and forest‑product manufacturing. Today, she primarily supports contract controller clients, providing strategic accounting insights tailored to their unique operational needs.

She approaches her work with an active, solution‑oriented mindset—optimizing financial processes, streamlining controls, and empowering clients to make informed decisions. Her wide‑ranging industry background gives her the ability to adapt seamlessly to varied business models.

Outside the office, she enjoys staying active. She is an avid swimmer and enjoys playing softball. While cherishing downtime with friends and family, she’s also a proud grandmother who loves following her grandson’s many activities.
