Our Story

In December 2015, DeAnna Ford hung her own flag to create DeAnna Ford,  CPA. The main mission was to provide quality bookkeeping services to small businesses and non profits in the area. Bookkeeping tended to be an afterthought, as the main focus of most CPA firms was tax and/or audit,  but DeAnna's passion has always been bookkeeping. Over the years they grew a successful tax practice. DeAnna Ford CPA grew from a staff of one to a staff of twelve. They outgrew their humble beginning on Lane Street to a larger building and where they now reside on North Ridge Avenue. 

In 2022, they made an intentional effort to strategically downsize to allow them to focus on their original mission and regain some balance. 

In 2023, DeAnna Ford CPA merged with Gordon Keeter and became Gordon Keeter Ford CPAs. The strategic plan was to streamline all bookkeeping services across the two firms to provide an easier transition into tax season.

In November of 2024, DeAnna Ford and her bookkeeping team of five demerged from Gordon Keeter Ford CPAs to become The Bookkeeping Team, Inc. 

Back to their original focus to only provide quality bookkeeping services to small business and non profits. The Bookkeeping Team, Inc. decided to only focus on bookkeeping and leave the income tax preparation and payroll services to the businesses that choose to focus on those services.
